We
are easy to find in Luxor either by car or on foot and The Lantern is
well known by taxi drivers although sometimes they may take you to our
old site by mistake.
Al Roda al Sharifa
Street runs between Medina Street and Khaled Ibn el Walid Street where
many of the major hotels are situated. The street is sometime referred
to as “Little Britain” Street as it is frequented by many
UK tourists as well as residents.
The street is almost
opposite the Meridien (Nile Palace) and Lotus Hotels. On one corner of
the street is the King’s Head pub which is often brightly lit and
easy to spot: The Lantern is just a hundred metres further down the street
on the right hand side and is clearly signposted.
If
you are approaching along Medina Street from town, there is a Government
department store on corner of Roda al Sharifa Street. If you are coming
from our old site close to 'St. Joseph's Street', continue along Medina
Street away from the Children’s Playground, pass the Police Station
and turn right at the Government Shop. The Lantern is further up the street
on the left-hand side. |
