We have just come back from a trip to Luxor Egypt. We were recommended to try the Lantern so we called in on the off chance of having a table. A lovely lady came over to us and said she could fit us in, the place was full, we sat at our table and well when the food came it was absolutely fantastic, the food is all home made by the owner Debbie and as far as I am concerned I haven't eaten excellent food like that in a long time. I haven't found a restaurant in the North West of England as good.
We ate there every night and looked forward to the excellent standard of food and Service at such a good price. Debbie the owner is front of house and she has the most fantastic customer Service i have ever known. Cant wait to go back there again. Thank you Debbie and staff for making our Holiday one to remember.

This is an elegantly decorated restaurant were the welcome is friendly and the staff are lovely. We ate there 3 times during our stay in Luxor and enjoyed it more each time. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. Highly recommended

Having just returned from Luxor I would thoroughly recommend The Lantern, good food both Egyptian and Western can be had. One suggestion, if you want to eat there especially from Friday through to the Sunday the you would be well advised to book a table.

The Lantern Restaurant may be difficult to find, but remains one of the best in Luxor. the welcome, service and quality of food continues to be outstanding and, while not cheap by Egyptian standards, is great value. The many regulars that eat there each evening are testimony to the quality of their cuisine!
It has just been totally refurbished by the owners, Debbie and Nasser, and they are only too happy to alter dishes to suit customers. We are there every evening of our week-long stay in Luxor and will continue to use it on every visit.

Still the best in Luxor in my opinion. Steaks and sauces unbeatable and don't forget to order onion rings with it. Any problems with your meal, just tell Debbie and it will be sorted. Do explore the menu, the curry is excellent, Caribbean bean excellent and try the sweets. Despite being a bit more expensive than the competition, from what I could see, it was the busiest place in Luxor and all those people can't be wrong.
